CEDAR COVE RESORT & COTTAGES - ANNA MARIA, FLORIDA

Girls weekend!! Who doesn't like the sound of that?  Every year for the past several years I have been getting together with some of my best gal pals and going on a little getting away.  In the past we have gone on cruises to Mexico, flown to New Orleans, and taken a train to Miami.  We like to make it an adventure, it really doesn't matter where we go, we always have the best time.  This year we drove down to Anna Maria Island and stayed at the adorable Cedar Cove Resort & Cottages.  Each of the 19 beachfront suites and cottages are unique in their decor, and offer amenities such as private bedrooms, fully equipped kitchens; to make the perfect beachfront style meal, and spacious living spaces. Our group of four stayed in the Dolphin Suite. The suite was very nice and had that old Florida beach vibe.  We had a full kitchen with all eating and cooking utensils, our own private patio, a living room with a sleeper sofa, and two bedrooms.  You can easily slip away to an adorable little tiki hut, beach side hammocks, or soak up the sun from lounge chairs perfectly situated so that you can hear the sound of the gentle Gulf Coast waves. and Yes! they are located right on the beach.  You take a step outside of your room and your feet are in the sand!! We had such an amazing, relaxing, soul filling weekend.  We relaxed, laughed, sipped champagne, looked for shells, danced, laughed, watched the sunset, walked on the beach at night and talked to the moon. I would encourage you to take some time to get away when you can. Even if it is just for a night or two it is amazing how breaking your routine can make you feel recharged when you return home. I can barely wait until next years adventure!!
